Kingwood Trees vs Irrigation Laterals: Do Not Trench the Drip Line

Kingwood’s villages were laid out under pines and oaks. Original poly laterals from the 1970s–90s sit in the drip line. When they split, the wrong move is a trench through that root plate.

On Kingwood sprinkler repair we directional-reroute with swing pipe, replace only the failed section, and keep the canopy. Dry shade turf is often overwatering, not “needs more heads.” We cut runtime first. If a low lot near Bear Branch holds water after rain, that is drainage, not another rotor.
